PROFILE - Emiro Ramón Irausquín
Computers and Informatics Enginner, born in Los Taques, Falcón State ,
Venezuela, received his high school education at Mariano de
Talavera high school, Punto Fijo, Falcon state, Venezuela where he graduated in july 1974. That same year he obtained a scholarship for university studies in the United States. He
made his basic Engineering studies at University of the Pacific,
Stockton, California, later moving to The Ohio State University
Columbus, Ohio USA where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computers and Informacion Science (March 1980), thus becoming the first person in his native state pursuing a degree in Information and Computers Technologies abroad.
In 1988 he traveled to Europe, specifically to the city of Cadiz, Andalucia, Spain where he received training in administrative and productive IT business. During his stay in the United States (5 years), he visited the states of California, Arizona, Oregon, Nevada, Alabama, Ohio, Kentuki, Massachusetts tenessi and Florida while in Europe he visited Madrid, Sevilla Cadiz, Granada and much of Costa del Sol, thus becoming familiar with other cultures.
In 1985 he received computer networking training in the prestigious Simon Bolivar University in Venezuela. In 1992 he obtainded an international certification in design, installation and maintenance of computer networks offered by the internationally recognized Cisco Academy in agreement with the Universidad de Los Andes and the University Francisco de Miranda.
In 1999 he took part in a credentials contest promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Venezuela, being the only person selected in his home state (Falcon) and becoming part of a select group of 15 professionals selected nationwide, with a total of 3,000 contestants. As a result of this selection participated in a special training offered by the Venezuelan Air Force, to support the development of hardware and software industry in Venezuela, obtaining one of fifteen nationally certified endorsed by the Minister of Science and Technology, Through this selection he was recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in the country as the most experienced professional in the area of Information and Communication Technologies in Falcon state.
He has been practicing his profession continuously for 34 years.Much of his career has been devoted to academic work. He has received numerous awards for his dedication to teaching. He has been working as a university professor in the Departments of Networks, Systems Analysis Programming, Database Management, Management Information Systems and Technology Management. Currently he serves as program coordinator and cofounder of Sociemática technological development and Project Director of Telematics consulting company CONSUPROI SC .
